Jonas Lindström Studio was commissioned by Nordiska Museet to produce a visual documentation of Sofi’s Salon – a newly refurbished venue that brings together historical architecture and contemporary Swedish design.
The assignment included both photography and film. Jonas Lindström captured the calm elegance and craftsmanship of the space. Our studio also produced a short documentary film offering insight into the process behind the renovation.
The interior of Sofi’s Salon was designed by Note Design Studio in close collaboration with Vanessa Gandy at Nordiska Museet. The film highlights this partnership along with contributions from Swedish design icons Kasthall, who created the custom-made rugs, and Gemla, who restored and reupholstered the original chairs.
Through interviews, process footage, and careful cinematography, the film tells the story of materials, tradition, and sustainable design.
This project reflects our studio’s passion for visual storytelling that bridges culture, craftsmanship, and contemporary aesthetics.
